KIHIKIHI TENNIS CLUB.

A meeting of those interested in the formation of a tennis club was held in the supper room of the Kihikihi Town Hall on Monday night. The chairman, Mr O. Price Owen, outlined in detail the steps already taken, and after a general disucssion it was resolved that the Kihikihi tennis club be at once formed. A number of those present intimated their intention of becoming members. Through the kindness of Mr Wade a court has already been secured, and it is hoped that the game will be in full swing in about a fortnight. It is hoped that in the near future the growth of the club will render larger premises a necessity, and that assistance will be given by the Town Board. Mrs Wade was elected Honorary Treasurer, and Mr O. Price Owen Honorary Secretary. A heartv vote of thanks was accorded Mr and Mrs Wade for their generous and practical help■ and the meeting closed with the usnal vote of thanks to th.: cl;air.
