TE AWAMUTU DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB.
A meeting of the committee of the above club was held on Friday evening, .Mr Edgecumbe presiding. Mr J. Milroy was unanimously elected secretary to the club, and Messrs Lenehan and Blythe were appointed additional members of the committee.
It was resolved that subject to Mr Taylor’s consent being obtained, several targets be erected on the new range. Mr McMurray was elected deputy vice-president. After other detail business had been considered the meeting closed with the usual vote to the chair.
SATURDAY’S SHOOTING
A large number of members assembled at the range on Saturday last when a most enjoyable and instructive practice match took place. The following are the scores of those obtaining over 50 points, the figures in each column representing the 300 and , 600 yards ranges and the totals respectively :
