TE AWAMUTU TENNIS CLUB.
A visit was paid to Pirongia on Saturday by a team from, tile above chib, and a number of interesting and exciting games were played resulting in Te Awamutu winning by 89 games to 82. Afternoon tea was very kindly supplied by the local ladies, anid altogether a most enjoyable afternoon was passed. Owing to i the late arrival of the'team at Pirongiap and to the fact that only two courts Were available it was found impossible* to complete all the"matches arranged for.'
