WHITE CLOVER SEED.

INDICATION OF HIGH PRICES. There is said to be every indication that the price of white clover seed will be extremely high during the coming sowing season. The latest issue of the Agricultural Department’s Journal advises farmers who will be using the seed to make their pur chases as early as possible, not only for the sake of economy, but in order to secure the better class of seed on the market. It is stated that if the season proves suitable for sowing, such a demand for the seed will be created that the price must advance considerably, while the standard of the seed finally available will be undesirable. If samples are obtained now there will be ample time to have them tested, as to their purity and their germination capacity.
