TE PUHI.
(Own Correspondent),
Deep regret will be felt throughout the district at the death of Mr R. E. M. Campbell, which occurred at his residence on 24th. Though comparatively a recent settler in these parts Mr Campbell had many friends, and considerable sympathy will be felt for his family in their bereavement. The interment took place in Te Awamutu on Saturday last. The decision to change the name of the station is gratifying, but is regrettable that the other changes are not likely to come so fast. There is great necessity for a Goods Shed, Loading Bank and other improvements. The Road Board have not seen their way to put the road in ship-shape form yet, though the weather is alright now and from all .points of view it is time that the matter was taken in hand at once.
