TRADES PICNIC.

There was a good attendance at the committee meeting last night, the chair being taken by Mr Battson. The school children's programme was submitted by Messrs Woods and Spinley and approved. It was decided to wait on the Town Board on Thursday next and ask for the use of the Town Hall forms on the day of the picnic. It was resolved to inform the Town Band that if they.are willing to head the procession on Monday, a break will be provided to drive them to the sports grounds. It was decided that the procession leave the post office at 10 a.m. sharp. It was resolved that Messrs White and Jones be asked to act as judges for the best decorated bicycle, perambulator, and tricycle. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chair.
