OTOROHANGA.
A most enjoyable doll and cushion afternoon tea was held at the residence of Mrs H. H. D. Burnand on Saturday last, on behalf of the Anglican ladies' guild. Each guest took a doll or cushion as gifts for the doll and cushion stall at the bazaar to be held early next month ; and the result was about thirty dolls and some very nice cushions. During the afternoon an amusing competition on girls' names was held, and the fortunate winner was presented with a nice bottle of scent. A very dainty afternoon tea was partaken of and song and musical items were rendered by Misses L. Johnson and D. Burnand, and Mrs Kidson. Miss Johnson played the accompaniments for the. songs.
