“OUR MARY ELLEN.”
• There was a fair attendance in the Town Hall on Wednesday evening, when Miss Marie Baines paid a return visit to Te Awav mutu and presented the above X comedy, the entertainment again proving a thoroughly enjoyable one. The play, which is pure fun from start to finish, gives Miss Baines an excellent op’.ortunity to display her quaint, original style of humour. Her clever imitation of'the Lancashire dialect and her droll management of the various complex situations in which she finds herself kept the audience in roars of laughter, and . evoked rounds of enthusiastic applause. In the second actJVliss Baines gave some of her clever child impersonations, studies which undoubtedly give fine scope for her wonderful powers of mimicy.
