DISTRICT NEWS.
(Own Correspondent.)
The Rae-lan County Council has started the bridge this side of Garston and Tucker's sawmill. This will be a great convenience, as at present it is very awkward to get a waggon to the mill. The span is about 170 feet. It is high •time something was done to the main traffic bridge over the Waipa. The timber ,is nearly readv to be carted for the Mangiate bridge on the Pirongia-Kawhia road. This will also be a great addition to the county main roads.
