HAMILTON LADIES V. TE AWAMUTU LADIES.
The following report appeared in yesterday's " Argus " : The above teams met at Scddon Park on Saturday afternoon, and after a well-contested and strenuous game Hamilton won by 3 goal to nil The first half was mostly give-and-take play, both sides attacking and defending in turn. Several good runs were made by both sides, but through over-anxiety in the circle no score resulted.
On resuming Hamilton attacked vigorously, and were round the Te Awamutu circle most of the time. Several good shots were put in, but the Te Awamutu goalie saved brilliantly. However, Miss Lovell, who played the best game for Hamilton, right through, found the net with a good hard shot. Miss A. Bond scored another soon after, and a third goal was added al the result of some good combination by the Hamilton forwards. We should like to impress on the Hamilton forwards the fallacy of bunching round the circle when corner hits are taken. Several good chances were lost on Saturday through this fault.
