A meeting of. the executive ol the Te Awamutu branch ol the above League was hfi.l in the Cosmopolitan Club room lad. evenmg, and tae following resolutions were passed: —A. That the support of the branch be given to any proposed legislation providing lor a reasonable extension of Hie present number of racing days, and to any proposal, to allot such increased nuniDer of days among rac.ng clubs, by some definite tribunal, such- as the dates committee appointed by the N.Z. racing conference, B: Tnutthe support of the branch lie given to any legislation to repeat t ie present prohibition against the publication of the dividends paid on a race in N.Z.: or of the starting prices in respect of any race outside ot New Zealand so as to permit the publication alter the holding of a race of the dividend paid or starting price.
