A very enjoyable and successful Band of Hope meeting was held in the Presbyterian Church Kihikihi, on Thursday evening last. Great credit is due to the

performers for the excellent programme rendered. Mr Owen presided. The following is a list of items submitted: —Organ solo,

Mrs Newman ; recitations, Master Leslie Day, Miss Lila McFlinn ; solo, Miss Nellie Gosdon ; orchestral selection, Bedford family; recitation, Miss Mary Temple;

song, Miss M. Ashby ; recitation, Master Victor Bedford, and Miss Nellie McFlinn; solo, Miss McCraedy (recitation, Master Leslie Bedford; solo, Miss Love Keam ; and an interesting dialogue by Misses Rebe Day, Olive and Ina McCardle, Nellie Gosdon, and

Lila and Cassy McFlinn. The collection was presented to the church renovation fund by the members of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.
