Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report as follows : HAMILTON. We held our usual tri-weekly sale in the above yards on the 2nd instant. Owing to the wet weather the advertised number of sheep did not come forward, but we were successful in disposing of most of the cattle. Suckers 3s to ss; porkers 17s to 325; baconers £2 to £2 6s. Fat wethers up to 17s ; iat ewes 10s 6d ; forward 2-tooth wethers Us 3d; lambs 7s 3d. Fat bullocks £8 15s ; fat heifers £4 I2s to £5 16s; fat cows £4 15s to £5 13s; forward cows £4 ; 2 to 2% year old steers £4 7s ; 18-month steers £3 is; 2 year heifers in calf £4 17s; springers £6 10s to £7; calves 15s to £2 Is ; 2 light unbroken horses £3 10s. TE AWAMUTU. We held our usual monthly sale at the above yards on Saturday, the 4th inst., when more than the advertised number of cattle came forward. Bidding was brisk throughout and nearly all cattle changed hands. For Mr Cruickshank's dairy herd there was good competition, the cows averaging £7 10s, and the heifers £6 2s 6d. We quote :—Fat bullocks light weights £5 17s 6d, fat heifers £4 10s to £5 10s, fat cows £4 10s to £6 10s, forward cows £4, store cows £2 8s to £3 2s 6d, cows with calves £2 15s to £4 2s, heifers in calf £3 10s to £4 9s, 18 months to 2-year steers £3 10s to £3 12s, 15-month steers £2 16s, 15-month heifers £2 15s, good calves £l 15s to £2 3s, poorer sorts £l is to £l lOs, bulls £2 4s to £4 4s, springing heifers £5 7s 6d to £8 12s 6d, milking cows £5 to £9 15s. Unbroken filly by Woodstock £6 lOs, unbroken draught filly £l2 ss, boy's pony £3 ; pigs 16s to 20s.
