KIHIKIHI.
(Own Correspondent.) Cheques representing a total of £442 6s lOd were paid to milksuppliers for the month of March. There are at present only nineteen suppliers, so it is evident the supply of milk is still very considerable, due, no doubt, to the present abundance of grass. Kihikihi residents seem to have suddenly become captivated by the speedy and luxurious mode of travel presented by the motor-car. During the past week two residents have become possessed of cars and a short time ago two others invested in the" same luxury —all four cars being for the convenience of a pleasure of private families. Quite an epidemic of accidents seems to have overtaken this locality. Within the last few weeks no less than five have occurred, three to children of tender years. Early last week a young lady met with a very unfortunate mishap while cycling, and on Thursday Gladys Chapman, a child of five years, fell off a horse when returning from school, and broke an arm.
