CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.
TO THE EDITOR.
SIR, —I would like to draw the attention of the authorities to the practice of cattle-dealers leavingtheir stock from Saturday till Monday (without food or water) in the Te Awamutu saleyards. Besides being an act of cruelty it is a source of annoyance to the neighbourhood. Hoping this matter will receive attention. —I am, etc.,
THOUGHTFUL.
