MR GREENSLADE 'NOMINATED. Mr H. J. Grecnslade, was nominated yesterday for the Waikato seat. His nominators were : George Dickinson (Mayor of Cambridge); Samuel Steele, Ohaupo, farmer; J. B. Teasdale, Te Awamutu, farmer; Thomas McGloin, Hamilton East, settler; Robert Parr, Hamilton, storekeeper ; John Bettley, Hamilton, butcher; James Edwin Tidd, Frankton Junction, storekeeper. MR J. A. YOUNG. Yesterday morning Mr James Alex. Young was nominated as a candidate for the Waikato seat by the following electors : —E. B. Cox, Pukekura, J. S. Fisher, Pukerimu, F. Quin, Te Awamutu, Mrs M. M. Olivers, Hamilton, •A. White, Cambridge, and C. H. Priestly, Cambridge. " MR j. A. YOUNG AT TE .WHETU. On Wednesday evening Mr J. A. Young addressed the electors at Bartholomew's timber mill, Te Whetu. He received a splendid hearing and at the conclusion was accorded the usual vote. The proceedings wera enthusiastic throughout. AT ARAFIWI. Mr Young addressed, a good meeting at Arahiwi on Thursday night. Mr W. C. Forsdick was voted to the chair. The candidate was weil received, and at the close of the speech, which was frequently applauded, Mill. S. W. King proposed the following resolution: —"That this meeting thanks Mr Young for his lucid expression of his political views, and is of opinion that it is in the ■ best interests of this country that the electors of Waikato should send him to represent them in Parliament with a view to bringing about the reforms he advocates. This was seconded by Mr Cowley and carried unanimously with loud applause. I AT WAITETUNA. On Friday night Mr Young addressed a good meeting of the electors at Waitetuna. He received a moat attentive hearing, and was frequently applauded. At the close, on tWlLresolution of Mr Waite, seconcled by Mr Hodges he received a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence.
AT WIIATA "WHATA, _ On Saturday night Mr. Yoffirg addressed the largest political meeting ever held at Whatawhata. Mr E. C.'Shepherd,.chairman of the Newcastle,' Road Board, presided. The candidate spoke well, and carried Mi; audience with him right the first. At the close he was- accorded a unanimous vote of thanks and confidence on die' vote of Mr Bagnall, which was seconded by Mr Ferguson. The meeting broke up with continued cheering for Mr Young.
