KIHIKIHI.

(Own Correspondent.)

The effects of the dry springsucceeding the drought of last summer are felt by none more than the dairy r^hmer. This time last season about 1800 gallons of milk were received daily at the creamery, whereas this season the supply only totals about 1200 gallons, despite the fact that many farmers have increased their herds.

What will be the gain of the settlers of Kawa will be the loss of the settlers of Kihikihi. The creamery shortly to be opened at the former place will take away a number of suppliers from the iocal creamery, involving a loss of about 500 gallons of milk daily, during the flush of the season.
