ALL RECORDS BROKEN.

AND GREATER DEVELOPMENTS

EXPECTED.

The exports of butter from

Victoria to ports beyond the Commonwealth have passed the record for all previous years — 21,562 tons in 1906-7 (states an Australian exchange). Last week's shipments brought the total for the present season up to 21,606% tons, valued at about £2,268,682. Further consignments are still coming forward, though the seaso.n cannot be expected to last very much longer. The State authorities intend to make special efforts to secure even greater development of trade in future. The great majority of the shipments have gone to the United Kingdom.
