There was a full attendance, Mr Johnston occupying the chair. Mr Spragg spoke for over an hour on various subjects of interest to dairy farmers, and his statement, that in the x near future the company would be prepared to purchase the skim milk for the purpose of manufacturing dry casein e, aroused con- .: siderable interest. It appears that this substance is used as glazing for the better qualities of paper, and also in the manufacture of combs, knife handles, buttons, etc., etc. At the end of his address, Mr Spragg invited questions, and for perhaps the first time in his long business career he was completely nonplussed by a question put to him by Mr Matthews. A hearty vote of thanks to Mr Spragg and a like compliment to the chair - closed a very interesting and instructive address.
