BOWLING TOURNAMENT AT CAMBRIDGE.

TE AWAMUTU PLAYERS LOSE AT LAST HEAD.

The team of bowlers who had been playing in the tournament at Cambridge on Saturday and Monday, were successful in getting three wins out of five games and had to play against Waihi to decide for their section when unfortunately they lost on the last head. Our representatives were Messrs B. C. Wheeler, G. H. White, Rev. W. Woollass and H. F. Edgecumbe. This game was watched by a very enthusiastic gathering, and as good bowling was the order of the day, applause was frequent. The winners of the sections are : Section No. I.—Mount Eden : Messrs Marshall, Dickinson, Trayes and J. Smith. Section No. 2.—Four teams in this section tied : Waihi, Cambridge A, Whitiora and Te Awamutu. Section No. 3.—Rotorua; McFarlane (skip.)
