HOCKEY.

The committee of the Te Awamutu Hockey Club met recently to make preliminary arrangements for the forthcoming season. In the report submitted of last season's play the committee had every cause to be well satisfied, and from present appearances the incoming season promises to be even more successful. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on Friday, April 21st, in the Young Men's Institute rooms. Players are now handing in their names, and intending members will do well to advise the secretary at an early date,~as teams will be selected and a start made almost immediately.
