Mr V. Douglas, County engineer, is at present on a visit to Auckland attending the engineers’ conference. Mrs Robert Mackie, of Onga Onga, left by Wednesday’s mail train on a holiday visit to Masterton and Wellington. Lord Nuffield will pay a flying visit to Napier and Hastings shortly. He will be given a civic reception at n Hastings by the Mayor, Mr G. A, ii Maddison.
