The remaining permits of the Dannevirke Racing Club, those used in recent y r ears for the meetings held, at Woodville in April, have now been purchased by the Manawatu Racing Club, and they will be utilised in future for a steeplechase meeting at Awapuni early each winter, flic dates selected for this year’s meeting are May 19th and 20th. It is understood that the consideration given by the Manawatu Club for the permits will enable the Dannevirke Club to wipe oft its indebtedness and so be wound up.
