CLAIM BY WIDOW ELECTED “SPIRITUAL RULER,” LONDON, January 28. A London society woman, who declares she is the reincarnation of Mary Queen of Scots, has been elected spiritual ruler of Scotland by a group of Scottish Nationalists. She is the Baroness Alexis Marovonoff, 24-vear-old widow of a young Russian nobleman who claimed descent from the Romanoffs —the royal family ’of Imperial Russia. Before her marriage she was Miss Mary Rus-sell-Tavernan. “Everyone notices the resemolance,” the baroness said this week, ‘ ‘ which proves it is not merely the idea of a few cranks. I have always felt drawn to the Queen in a strange way, .and as a child wanted to read all the books about her I could obtain. I used to cry bitterly when I came to the part where she was
