Campbell at a meeting of the newly set-up Hawke’s Bay Afforestation and Land Drainage Committee on Saturday. “We should make all the people of Hawke’s Bay conscious of the fact that they ought to plant trees on Arbor Day,” sid Mr Campbell. “We ought to make them feel guilty if they do not. Local bodies should he given additional impetus to plant on that day, and farmers should be urged to plant wherever possible to prevent the rapid run-off of flood waters. ’ ’
