The AVanganui Jockey Club’s summer meeting, which concluded on Saturday, was most successful. The totalisator turn-over was £IO,OOO higher than last year’s. Courtcraft did not run up to expectations in the AA’aihou Handicap, finding the impost of 9.6 too high to foot it with Royal Bachelor and Suleiman, who finished first and second.
