SCHOOL TENNIS

VISIT OF HASTINGS TEAM. In glorious sunshine, and with the courts greatly improved after the recent rains, tennis teams from the Hastings High School journeyed to Waipawa by bus on Friday to play a series of friendly matches with the local High School, on grounds kindiv lent lor the occasion by the Sports Club. Although Waipawa secured a victor}’ by a substantial margin, the aggregate of wins being 26 to 6, some excellent tennis resulted, and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent hv both schools. A source of considerable interest to the visitors were the new primary school buildings now practically completed on an adjoining section, which were inspected during the aflernoon.
