The Otaki Maori Racing- Otyb had a most successful meeting on Saturday, the attendance being well up to the record. Betting was brisk, £15,524 being invested, an increase of £6583 10s on last year. Might won the Ling Memorial Stakes, with Sunee, a little fancied starter, in second position. Evidence that the gallop at Masterton did him good was forthcoming front Son and Heir ip the Pahiko Hack, which he won by a neck from the favorite, Botoinn, The totalisator at the Taumarunui meeting turned over £24,415 Ids, an increase of £3040 10s on last year. Gay Streak won tho Hack Cup Handicap, Malagigi (favorite) second. A sensational dividend was paid by Gold Vaals in the Trial Handicap, lit a field of 19 starters he was 17/15 in the betting. There was only £l2 10s on the win machine.
