WAIPAWA WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

ANNUAL MEETING. There was a good attendance at the annual meeting 7 of the Waipawa Women’s Institute on Friday afternoon in the Concert Hall. In the absence of the president, Mrs F. Adeane presided. A vote of sympathy with Mrs Bibby in her illness was adopted and the hope expressed that she would have a speedy recovery. The secretary, Mrs H. M. Preston, presented the report of the past year’s activities, together with the balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £7 9s 6d.—The report and balance-sheet were adopted, members being of opinion that a very satisfactory position was shown. Regret was expressed by members that Mrs Bibby, who has been president of the Institute for some years, has found it necessary, on account of her health, to retire from that office. Musical honors wer accorded Mis Bibby for her services to the Institute in the office of president.
