PERSONAL ITEMS.

Mr Cyril Gurr, son of Mr and Mrs Tasman Gurr, of Napier, was killed in a motor accident on the MastertonCarterton road on Saturday night. Tom Heeney and his wife passed through Waipawa last evening en route to Wellington, where they will be the guests of the AA r ellington Boxing Association. Heeney has promised to attend the Hastings tournament on the 28th inst., when he will either give an exhibition bout or referee a match.
