BOMBING RAIDS.

ON ENEMY STRONGHOLDS. Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. LONDON, August 18. The Admiralty reports that naval aeroplanes carried out a series of raids yesterday and dropped many tons of bombs on the Ostend and Thourout railway stations and Ghistelles aerodrome, causing fires. They also attacked Engel and Wittkerke aerodromes, roads and transports by aeroplane gunfire. All our machines returned. Naval aeroplanes at midnight on Thursday dropped many tons of bombs on Thourout railway station and caused fires. It is believed that ammunition dumps were hit and the railway damaged. Our machines returned. AMSTERDAM, August 18. The “Telegraaf” says that Allied airmen on Friday morning made a great attack on Zeebragge, when a large quantity of bombs were dropped. ANOTHER VISIT. The Admiralty air service on Saturday night dropped many tons of bombs on St. Pierre station, Ghent, Thourout station, the ammunition dump at Bruges docks, and also raided tiie Snellcghen aerodrome, directly hitting a large shed. The Royal Flying Corps assisted. Our returning machines beat off hostile aircraft, and all ours returned.
