AT SALONIKA. HALF THE CITY DESTROYED. Australian & N.Z. Cable Association. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, August 20. Advices received here state that a great fire occurred at Salonika. Half the city has been burned. EIGHTY THOUSAND HOMELESS. FIRE UNDER CONTROL. Reuter Message. (Received. This Day, 2 p.m.) LONDON, August 20. A fire occurred at Salonika on the 18th. Eighty thousand people are homeless. The loss of life is unknown. On the evening of the 19th the fire was under control.
