PROTESTS AGAINST LOWERING. (Own Correspondent). NAPIER, Yesterday. The Napier branch of the Second Division League has decided to register its protest against the suggested lowering of the age of recruits to 19. At :i meeting on Saturday night it was resolved: —“That this special meeting of the executive committee of the Napier Second Division League emphatically protests against the conscription of youths under 20 years of age, and earnestly urges the Government to immediately proceed to bring down the financial legislation necessary to met the demands of the Second Division League’s conference recently held at Wellington, and that a copy of the resolution be sent to the member for the district, Mr J. Vigor Brown, M.P., with a request that he bring the same before Parliament. ' ’
