FIRE.

CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE. (Per Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, This day. A fire occurred in one of the cellars of E. Reece and Sons’hardware premises in Colombo street, causing considerable damage to stock through fire and water and to stock elsewhere in the establishment through smoke. The actual amount of the damage is not known.

The building affected by fire was insured for £ISOO, and the stock in the building for £3400. The insurances are distributed amongst a large number of offices. Why run the risk! Insure with the Norwich Union Fire Office. All classes of risks covered. —W. J. Pellow, Agent, Waipawa.*
