BALKAN CAULDRON.
GREECE’S POSITION. IMPORTANCE OF A MILITARY VICTORY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 25.
Mr Lloyd George and Mr Balfour personally congratulated M. Jounart, greatly appreciating his work in Greece.
M. Jounart, interviewed, said:— “Greece, through Constantine’s bad policy, cannot hope to recover her position except by victory and a satisfactory agreement in the Balkans with Turkey and Bulgaria. It is not possible, without, our gaining military successes. We must not neglect this theatre of the war.’’
