AFRICAN CAMPAIGN.

STEADY ADVANCE. (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) LONDON, June 21. ’ Official.—General Hoskins' forces occupied Hendeni on the 19th. The enemy is retreating towards the central railway, fighting a rearguard action, with losses. General Northey’s column occupied Altlangenburg, at the head of Nyassa Lake, on the 13th. The enemy coun-ter-attacked, but were repulsed, and are retreating north-east. Belgian columns occupy the line between the head of Tanganyika and the south-eastern extremity of Lake Victoria.
