(Per Press Assooiation.) Wellington, This day The total quantity of hemp exported from New Zealaud for the year ended 31st March, shows a decrease of 65,508 bales, or roughly 11,3 n 0 tons, which at £2O e ton, figures out at a loss to the country of £226,000 The quantity gradad for export lor 1908 was 132,635 bales, and for 1909 only 76,027. There was graded for the month of March 9269 bales, aud for the ooiresponding month of 1908 11,791 bales. Fine end good fair hemp show an increase for the month end the Chief Fibr« Expert reports that the quality was excellent, not one bale of fine or superior being rejected or condemned.
