The Loss of the Bega.
(Received 9 30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This day
At the inquiry into the loss of tho Bega, passengers’ evidence was to the eff.ot that tho vessel hud a list when she left the wharf at Tuthra. One of the boats was very leaky aud the only baler they had wus a boot. Great difficulty was experienced in keeping her afloat. One passenger deposed to being banded a knife by a sailor, who asked him to cut the painter of the women’s boat. Other evidence showed that she was carrying less oargo than usual and it was well stowed.
