[Uuited Press Association.] [By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright] (Reoeived 8.34 a.m) LONDON, Deo. 18 The Tariff Reform Lt ague’s Commission of Inquiry inoludes the following: Charles Alwen, chairman of Messrs Henry Bessimer and Co., and managing director of the Ebbu Vale Steel Co., Charles Booth, the well-known economist, Richard Burbridge, managing director of Harrod’s store, Sir Vincent Oaillard, director of Vickers and Sons and Maxim, J. Candlish, principal partner in the Seahara glassworks, Heury Ohapwin, J. Howard Colls (builder and contractor), W. H. Grenfell, F. L. Everton Harris, Sir Alex. Henderson, A. White Maconochie, Sir Alfred Hiokman, Sir Alfred Jones, of Head, Elder, Dempster Co., Arthur Keen, chairman of Guest, Keeu and Co., N. Nettleford, Sir W. T. Lewis, founder of the collieries * sliding scale and director of several colliery companies, W. H. Mitchell, of Messrs Burnley and Co., leader in the woollen trade, Alfred Mosely, manufacturer and speculator, Sir Andrew Noble, chairman of Messrs Armstrong, Withworth and Co., Chas. Parsons, of turbine fame, Sir Walter Peace, Agent-General for Natal, O. A. Pearson, managing direotor of 0. A. Pearson and Co. and owner of many popular periodials, Sir Charles Tennant, president of the United Alkali Co., J. S. Laing, jun. direotor of Warring and Co. The list is still incomplete. Mr Chamberlain’s proposals will be the basis of inquiry. Members of all trades will be examined irrespective of their political opinions. The 00-operation of trade organisations and institutions is invited. Professor Hewins has been appointed secretary of the Commission, the sitting of which will begin in the middle of January.
