(Own Correspondent.) Napier, This day. Thomas Watts, who pleaded guilty at the Supreme Court, on Tuesday, to a charge of indecently assaulting Kate Miadows at Kaikora, came before Mr Mice Edwards this morning for sen-

tence. His Honour said that the concderation of prisoner’s case had given him a great deal of trouble, and he had

tome doubt as to whether he should not Nnteoce him to a term of imprisonment. His Honour, however, was satisfied from Hiding the depositions that prisoner hid no intention of ravishing the girl then he attacked her. Nevertheless the set had been one of gross indecency which would have to be put down. The prisoner was fined £IOO, in default one jut's imprisonment. Watts was allowed a week in which to pay the fine.
