(by telegraph.) This Day At the Police Court this morning, Eugene Kenny was charged with endeavoring to obtain money on false representations from Mr H. P. Cohen. It appeared that the prisoner altered a totalisator ticket, and presented it for payment. Erasure was noticed, and accused was challenged ; but as he persisted that the ticket had been issued to him, he was handed over to the police. Accused was sentenced to 14 days’ hard labor in Napier gaol.
