ORMONDVILLE.

(OWN CORRESPONDENT.") A special meeting of the Horticultural and Industrial Society’s Committee was held in the Rechabite Hall on Thursday evening. All members, with the exception of one, were present. The final arrangements for the society’s first show were made. The secretary read a telegram from C. W. Sorensen, stating that the sender regretted his inability to attend the show but stated that he would visit the district soon. The secretary also mentioned that two special prizes had been promised by E. A. Haggen, consisting ot a half-year’s donation of tho Examiner each. It was decided that the colours of the committeemen be white, that of the judges’ blue, and the secretary’s rosette blue and white. On Thursday last at the OrmoDdville Court, before O. Ericksen and .R. R. Groom, J’s.P., Ole Hegh was sentenced to 14 days’ in Napier gaol, for using abusive and obscene language in a public place. At |the Church of the Epiphany, Ormondville, on Thursday morning last, at eleven o’clock. Miss E. Beale, of Ormondville, and W. Fuszard, of Hastings, were united in the bonds of matrimony. A goodly number of friends and relatives of the bride were present to witness the ceremony. At the request of the bride and bridegroom all who could attend passed a pleasant evening in the Town Hall. Dancing and songs were indulged in until early morning, when all left for their homes.
