RIFLE MATCH.—ONGA ONGA v. HAMPDEN.
A match between the above-men-tioned rifle clubs came off at Hampden on the 18tli inst. The terms of the match were as follows : 200, 400, and 500 yards ranges, five shots being allowed at each range; an Sin. bull’s eye at 200 yards, and full-sized target at 400 and 500 \ards. As will be seen by the subjoined scores, the match resulted in a victory for Onga Onga. The following are the scores : ONGA ONOA.
Total 145 The average of 35 points made by the Onga Onga team was very good, considering that tho club has only been in existence about a month, and that the present is their first match. Tho Onga Onga men were most hospitably received by their Hampden opponents, and the whole affair went off in as friendly a spirit as could bo wished.
