The Fitz-Gladiators are mostly big horses.” Sator is nine years old, in color a rich chestnut, and has an unexceptionally good constitution ; stands 1G hands 2 inches high, with great hone and substance, combined wit h such go 3d knee action as is seldom seen in a thoroughbred. Sator is the sire of Saunterer and Puramenn, the first two racers got by him. in the colony, and the only two raised in New Zealand who have won races. Terms for Sator—For rising mares and thoroughbreds, £l2 12 ; for hacks, £8 8s ; two or more marcs as per agreement. Black Champion is by Black Champion, out of the imported dam Flora, and was bred by Mr Zuekerman, New South Wales. Terms for Black Champion—For single mares, £4 4s. Groomage fee, ss, to be paid at time of service. M arcs mast be removed and paid for on notice of stinting being given, after which a charge of 2s Gd a week will be made. Sator and Black Champion will travel during the season through Waipawa to Waipukurau every Saturday, standing at Mr (low’s Hotel, Waipukurau, from 10 a.in. to-2 p.m.; and at Mr Baker’s Hotel, Waipawa. from 3 p.m. to G p.m.;. remainder of the week at Mr Evan’s farm. Six first-class paddocks of 2.0 acres each, with running stream of water, provided. Owners may rely upon having superior accommodation for their mares. Owners of marcs between To Auto and Wallingford can have them forwarded to the horse free of charge. All mares left with Mr George Merritt, West Clive, will *also be forwarded to the horse free of charge. XUCKNOW is a bay colt, 4 years old, J 1G hands 3 inches high, by General Havelock, dam Blossom, by Champion of Scotland (who took first prizes at all the shows in Scotland and Victoria whenever exhibited), g.d Blossom by Young Australia, g.g.d Violet, imported by the Circular Head Company.. General Havelock, brown horse* by President, g sire Old Champion, dam Tibby. Tibby was General Havelock’s dam,, also champion mare of Scotland in her day. Lucknow’s dam gained first prize in 1875 at Clunes as a two-year-old ; second prize at Siueaton same year ; first in 187 G at Sandhurst as a three-year old, and second at Kyneton same year ; also took the first prize at Daylcsford as a three-year-old. Terms : £5 5s single mares ; two or more as per agreement. Early application is necessary, as only a limited number of mares will be taken. Young Diamond is by Diamond out of Conny ; Diamond by Donald, out of Katey. Bred by flie late Hon. W. Nicholson from his imported stock. Terms : £4 4s for single mares ; two or more as per agreement.
