LEAMINGTON HALL

FUNDS FOR IMPROVEMENTS A suggestion that a portion of revenue received from the Leamington Hall should be set aside for improvements, was made by Mr Morley Boyce, at the March meeting of the Town Board, when a letter was received from a ratepayer offering several suggestions for improving the' hall amenities. . It was agreed that the hall was very popular for weddings and other district entertainments, and the board decided to open a separate hall account. The town clerk, Mr R. S. Entwistle stated that the board had the sum in hand of £IOO paid by the Army Department for repairs to the hall. In regard to alleged thefts of private property left overnight in the hall, the board agreed that it could accept no responsibility. However, the locks to the hall doors and windows are to be checked.
