MAINLY FOR WOMEN

WEDDING SAUNDERS BONE The wedding of Elizabeth Colman Bone, daughter of Mrs W. C. Wallace, of Fencourt, Cambridge, to Frederick Robert, only son of Mr and Mrs W. F. Saunders, of Bruntwood, took place recently at the Trinity Presbyterian Church. The decorations in the church were japonica and irises in a cyclamen and blue colour scheme and white satin bows decorated the pews. The officiating Minister was The Rev. Colin MacKenzie, and the organist was Mr S. B. Dunn. The bride, who was given away by her stepfather, Mr W. C. Wallace, wore a lovely gown of parchment slipper satin. Made with a fully flarred skirt falling in a long train, which was trimmed with sprigs of orange blossom. The bodice featured a diamond shaped panel in front, the sides being niched to this to form a v-neck-line, and a draped basque to a low waistline, finished with a long flat bow at the back. Her veil of silk net was embroidered with lover's knots and caught to her head with a coronet of waxed lillies and orange blossom and fell to form a second train. She carried a shower bouquet of cream hyacinths and cyclamens. The bridesmaids, Miss Margaret. Wallace, sister of the bride, and Miss Agnes' Ray, of Te Awamutu, wore similar, frocks of harebell blue marquisette over blue slipper satin. The skirts were fashioned in Maypole style, with large bows of darker blue velvet ribbon at the kneeline, matching the smaller bows which trimmed the skirts. The bodices were fitting with Sweetheart necklfoes and cap sleeves gathered across the shoulder forming a charming effect. Their mittens were of .blue marquisette and they wore Juliet caps of | cyclamen and blue flowers fastened with blue tulle. Their bouquets were cyclamen, stocks and hyacinths. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Eric Turner, the groomsman being Mr Tcm McLennan. The ushers were Mr lan Wallace, Mr F. Ray and Mr L. Turner. After the ceremony the reception ( was held in the Parish Hall which was decorated beautifully with rhododendrum, stocks and violets and an arch of flowers was arranged behind the bridal table. * Mrs Wallace received the guests wearing a suit of moss green and tan herring-bone weave, wool, tan hat and shoulder spray to tone. Assisting her was Mrs W. Saunders, who was in a black ensemble worn with a smart black hat and fur coat. Her shoulder spray was of scarlet flowers. For travelling the bride chose a suit of powder blue lamb's wool, her hat being to tone and trimmed with brown and orange leaves, and worn with brown accessories.
