"No Word Big Enough."
Mrs Edythe Guernsey, wife of the President of Rotary International, told a good story to emphasise her high opinion of New Zealanders at the welcome tendered the visitors on Sunday morning by members of the Cambridge Club. She said that two Pacific Islanders were in the common process of sending messages to one another per medium of smoke signals, for they resided on neighbouring islands. On a particular occasion messages were being sent and then one of the islanders saw a tremendous cloud of smoke arise from another neighbour's island. It was the Bikini atomic "bomb. Promptly -the first islander sent a message to his neighbour, "Sorry, wish I could have said that no word big enough !"
