Cattle Still in Firm Demand
THE CAMBRIDGE SALE. HEIFERS UP TO £l7/5/The N.Z. Loan & Mercantile Agency Company_report that at their Cambridge .sale on Monday a fair yarding of fat and boner cattle came forward and sold at late rates. A pen of heavy P.A. heifers realised £l7/5/-. A good yarding of yearling heifers came forward and tops were keenly sought after. A light yarding of all classes of pigs came forward and sold in average numbers; best quality being sought after, the remainder making recent quotes.
Heavy P.A. heifers, £l6/15/- to £l7 5/-; heavy fat cows £ll/10/- to £l3 7/6; medium fat cows £9/10/- to £11; heavy boners £6/15/- to £8; medium boners £5/5/- to £6/8/-.
Choppers' £5/19/- to £8; heavy baconers £4/17/- to £5/5/-; medium stores £2/18/- to £3/6/-; light stores £2/7/- to £2/13/-; weaners £l/13/- to £2/1/-. Sows close to.farrow, £B/12/6 to £9/12/6; later sows to £5/17/6. Best dairy heifers, close to profit, £ls/10/- to £l6/10/-; medium dairy heifers, ditto, £l2 to £l4/15/-; later calvers £8 to £lO/10/-; calved heifers £l3 to £l9. • Cows close to profit £lO to £l3.
