MEETING OF COMMITTEE.
TILM SCREENING EQUIPMENT.
At the monthly meeting of the Cambridge School Commijftee ,the headmaster, Mr S. B. Dumif reported the school rolls as follows for August: Primary 482, decrease of 4; secondary, 156, decrease/ of 8. It was approved tfcat the Primary Department hold its annual ball on Friday, October 31, Mr M. G. Schmidt has replaced Mr Familton at the primary school and the latter has taken up his duties at the secondary department. Miss E. M. Hubbard has replaced Miss L. E. Y. Dunn at the primary department. This is a relieving position. * ......
It was reported the film-strip projector for the primary school had been received. As soon as the blackout material has i been made up the machine will be operated. Endeavours are to be made to obtain a grant from the Board for forms to be used for, seating in the vestibule where the films will be screened.
'The net proceeds from the secondary concert totalled £BO/9/9. Of this amount £39/10/- has already been spent on a radio, amplifier and pickup. The balance of the cost of this equipment, £3O, is to be paid out of a music grant from the Education Board.
The Committee offered congratulations to the staff and the pupils on the excellence of the secondary concert. *
