CAMBRIDGE GOLF CLUB FIRST ROUND DECIDED The first round of a 36-hole medal competition for the Memorial Cup in honour of members Who gave their lives in World War II was contested on the Cambridge Golf Qub's links on Saturday, and in all 52 cards were returned. There will be considerable interest in the second round next Saturday as the result is still very open./in the lead is M. Weatherell with 69/ net and there are 28 players within 6 s/rokes of him. Cambridge Handicap The final of the Cambridge Handicap was played on Saturday, when W. Ryan beat R. Calvert 4 and 2. Ryan took the lead at the fifth hole and was one up at the turn. He won the next three holes and held this lead until the match ended at the 16th.
